This is the part of the website most people skip.
oh adorned is a small, independent brand. We don’t have a data team. We don’t sell your information to advertisers. We’re not interested in surveillance capitalism, we’re interested in making things worth owning and selling them to people who get it.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It’s written to be read, not to obscure.

oh adorned is based in London, UK.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, oh adorned is the data controller.

What we collect and why
When you place an order or enquire via DM
We collect your name, contact details (email and/or Instagram handle), delivery address, and order information. We need this to process your order, communicate about it, and get it to you. That’s it.
Legal basis: Contract performance (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
When you join a waitlist
We collect your name and email address. We use this to let you know when the thing you wanted is available. We don’t use it for anything else without asking you first.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically, telling you the thing you asked to be told about.
When you use the website
Squarespace, who host our website, may collect standard technical data including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is logged automatically and helps us understand whether the site is working. We don’t use it to identify individuals.
If you’ve consented to cookies, Squarespace may also collect analytics data. You can manage cookie preferences via the banner on your first visit.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests / consent, depending on cookie type.
When you contact us
If you email us or message us on Instagram, we’ll keep a record of that conversation. We use this to respond and — if relevant — to improve how we do things. We don’t share it.

What we don’t do, Because it should be stated clearly:
— We don’t sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
— We don’t rent your data. Not to mailing list brokers, not to fashion brands, not to anyone.
— We don’t use your data to serve you targeted advertising on other platforms.
— We don’t share your data with third parties except where necessary to fulfil your order (e.g., Royal Mail, DHL) or where legally required.
How long we keep your data
Order records: We keep these for six years for accounting and legal purposes. After that, they’re deleted.
Waitlist data: Until the relevant product has launched and a reasonable period has passed, or until you ask us to remove you.
General correspondence: We retain this while it’s relevant to our relationship with you.

Your Rights under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
— Access the personal data we hold about you

— Have your data deleted (in most circumstances)
— Object to how we process your data
— Request that we restrict our processing of your data
— Data portability receive your data in a usable format
